We look at the best performing FPL stars over the international break…
1. Fabian Schar
The Newcastle centre back was excellent as he helped his country keep two cleansheets against Northern Ireland and Denmark. Eddie Howe will hope that the Swiss international will inject back a much needed defensive solidity into his side. Newcastle face West Ham at St James park.
2. Heung Son-Min
The Spurs superstar netted twice over both legs as South Korea eased past Thailand in the world cup qualifiers. He and Spurs will want to bounce back from the 3-0 loss to Fulham when they welcome Luton to the London stadium.
3. Dejan Kulusevski
The winger was instrumental and outstanding for Sweden, providing two assists and creating many chances. Spurs fans will relish him doing same for the likes of Son and Johnson when Luton come calling.
4. Cristian Romero
Another great Spurs asset. After getting a goal and Cleansheet for Argentina during the break, the aggressive centre back looks the most likely to haul from defense.
5. Youri Tielemans
His brace against England stands out as the biggest performance from midfield this international break. Villa will hope that he becomes another source of goals and assists from midfield after Douglas Luiz’s form dwindled.
6. Nelson Semedo
2 assists vs Sweden makes him a good differential option as Wolves visit a defensively shaky Aston Villa in Gameweek 30.
7. Rodri
One may argue that his two goals against Brazil were penalties, but Rodri did more than just converting those penalties. He looked sharp on the attack, had a couple of thunderous shots on target and who knows, might be the one on pens for City after Haaland missed one for Norway.
Honorable mentions
A couple of lads will be brimming with confidence as they either made their debuts or got their a goal for their country over the break. Ivan Toney scored a brilliant pen against Belgium, while Garnacho and Gordon made their respective debuts for Argentina and England. Importantly, Kai Havertz continued his fine run of form, netting the killer goal for Die Manscahft against France. Fulham left back Antonee Robinson and Crystal Palace center back Richards were instrumental for the USA in their CONCACAF triumph.
