Romelu Lukaku, Leandro Trossard and Jeremy Doku all had a chance to bite the cherry but none of them could capitalize.

The Red Devils thought they finally got their goal when Lukaku slotted the ball in the back of the net. But VAR had other ideas. They had spotted a foul, as the ball had touched Openda’s hands in the build up.

The outcome would see Slovakia stun Belgium, holding on to what would be an unprecedented victory and their first three points for this Euros campaign.

Another Euro 2024 game yesterday saw France beat Austria 1:0 in a keenly contested game. The only goal of the game was scored midway through the first half.  This was moments after Baumgartner missed a glorious 1v1 chance for Austria. His close range shot was well saved by Mike Maignan in the French goal.
