Manchester City vs Arsenal
City had possession, but didn’t have control. They lacked creativity, cutting edge, struggled to create clear chances and couldn’t even create shooting chances from the edge of the box.

Arsenal put in a defensive masterclass, created better chances on the counter and should’ve scored on one or two occasions.
Both teams had to share the spoils in the end.
Elsewhere, Liverpool had to dig deep to crack a stubborn Brighton side, coming from behind with goals from Luiz Diaz and Mohamed Salah to overturn Danny Welbeck’s early strike. The win helped Liverpool climb to the top of the table where they currently sit with 67 points, 2 points ahead of Arsenal in 2nd with and 3 ahead of City in 3rd.
In the battle for 4th place, Tottenham Hotpur and Aston Villa won their home games on Saturday.
Spurs came from behind to beat Luton Town 2-1, while Villa coasted to a comfortable 2-0 victory over Wolves. The results leave 4th placed Villa 3 points ahead of Spurs having played one game more than their fellow Londoners.
At the relegation end of the table, Sheffield United succumbed to yet another defeat at home. Fulham’s 3-0 away win means the Blades will stay bottom of the pile, regardless of the outcome of their game in hand.
Burnley remain second bottom despite their spirited 2-2 draw away against struggling Chelsea. Currently 5 points away from safety, the Clarets will hope to build on the result.
Nottingham Forest’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace was enough to keep them just above the drop zone in 17th, while Luton’s loss to Spurs leaves them in 18th. Both teams have 22 points but Forest has the superior goal difference.
